The Pinecone Telegraph is a Bulletin
Board web site which provides LAW owners and
friends information on the latest announcements and developments within the
community.
To check the
Pinecone Telegraph web site for the latest updates and community news go

following are the
Guidelines for Submittals to the Pinecone Telegraph
In the interests of avoiding partisan
issues or controversies, or creating an excessive burden on the
volunteers who make this valuable information service possible, we ask
your cooperation in submitting items for the "Pinecone Telegraph."
Specifically .....
Please focus on announcements that are of wide interest to our
community. A concise note is always better than a long, rambling one. If
it involves an event of some sort, be sure to include (a) What?, (b)
Where? (c) When? and who to contact for further information.
Anonymous submittals will not be accepted. Please include your
name in or at the end of
the notice so that people know who to contact if they have questions.
While it may be tempting to send in an editorial regarding a partisan
issue in an election year, please avoid doing so. You are welcome
to announce a meeting at your home (or wherever) to discuss an issue,
but the "Pinecone Telegraph" is not the forum to use to promote any
particular point of view.
If there really is something that is of a partisan or controversial
nature, that you feel strongly should be circulated to the West Shore
community, please submit it to the WACC Board of Directors for review.
Please use the local newspaper as the advertising medium for garage
sales, "looking for something" ads, talent available ads, and the like.
The "Pinecone Telegraph" is maintained on a time-available basis. Please
don't wait until the last moment and then panic if something doesn't get
posted an hour after you submit it. It may take a day or two under
"normal" circumstances; even longer if key people are away.
Our general practice is to simply copy the submittal as it is received,
and then post it on the website. Don't expect any regular editing!
P L E A S E
proof your submittal before you send it, and ask yourself
whether it might offend anyone in the community. As with any
e-mail, please be aware that it may be forwarded by recipients
to others you do not know!
Notices are normally deleted a couple of weeks after they are
first posted. If something needs to remain before the community
for a longer period, please consider using a hard copy poster on
the physical bulletin boards at the mail boxes.
Thanks for your cooperation!
